Professor of Film and Photography at Montana State University where he Heads the School of Film and Photography’s prestigious Science and Natural History Filmmaking Program Film, overseeing both the undergraduate and MFA production programs, Dennis Aig has extensive experience in long and shortform documentary and dramatic films, music videos, promotional and corporate work, and podcasts. The winner of over 100 film awards including 15 Tellys and 3 Regional Emmys, Professor Aig has worked in Hollywood, managed a National Geographic crew documenting a climbing season on K-2, filmed in the rainforests of Costa Rica and Peru, headed a media team fifty miles out in the Gulf of Mexico exploring underwater shipwrecks, and served as consulting producer for Khashyar Darvich’s feature documentary, “Dalai Lama Renaissance,” which has won multiple award and festival honors,. He was also consulting producer for Carl Thiel and Martina Kreidl’s dramatic short “Killing Snakes,” which was in the short film sections at both the Cannes and Venice film festivals. He is currently co-producer of a multiple episode documentary about the history of Butte, Montana. He also is an acknowledged authority on production management and producing.
